Dr. Matthew Anderson is originally from Tyler, TX. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and received his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.  Dr. Anderson completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He remained there and completed training in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine. He served on staff at UT Southwestern prior to relocating to Austin in August of 2011 to join Austin Pulmonary Consultants.

He has been named to SuperDoctors list of “Rising Stars” twice. He was also named Physician of the Quarter in 2013 at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center.

 Dr. Anderson enjoys all aspects of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine with specific clinical interests in thoracic oncology, interstial lung disease, and management of sepsis. In his spare time, Dr. Anderson enjoys photography, homebrewing, travel, running, and fly fishing. Dr. Anderson is board certified in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.
