Dr. Laura K. Gilbey is a native Texan having completed all of her training in Texas. She received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University, her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and her Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Upon completion of her fellowship, Dr. Gilbey became a faculty member of the Pulmonary/Critical Care Division at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where she taught and conducted research.
She and her husband Sean moved to Austin in 2003 and have been in practice here since. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercise and travel.
Dr. Gilbey currently serves as the Medical Director of St. David’s North Austin ICU as well as Medical Director of Respiratory at both St. David’s North Austin and Round Rock.
She has been named to Texas SuperDoctors five consecutive years.
