The American Cancer Society estimates that more people die of lung cancer every year than colon, breast, and prostate cancers combined. It’s more commonly diagnosed in people 60 years and older, but it can occur in younger individuals as well.
To diagnose lung cancer, Austin Pulmonary Consultants uses imaging and lung tissue biopsy.
CT scans and other imaging tests play a large role in that work, as do lung tissue biopsies. We use this information to help determine your lung cancer stage and then work in association with a cancer specialist to help determine your best treatment options.

If you have concerns about lung cancer, call for an appointment with Austin Pulmonary Consultants at our North Office at (512) 977-0123 or South Office at (512) 441-9799. Additional information about lung cancer can be found on our resources page.
